When Lynn Davis, stood on her front porch, contemplating the name of her new jewelry gallery, the answer and inspiration literally landed right at her feet! Behold, a tiny jewel-toned fledgling, and as it turns out, the namesake of Hummingbird. This lovely and inviting light-filled space houses a variety of amazing goods and is perched along with several restaurants and stores, just yards away from the beach, on the historic road stop stretch, Santa Clause Lane, which is currently enjoying a wonderful and worthy resurgence.

Owner and life-long jewelry and art aficionado, Lynn, curates an impressive collection of local and Southern California artists including; sterling and 18k gold jewelry from Ojai artist Susan Cummings, edgy, yet feminine 14k rose and yellow gold jewelry from San Diego-based, Julez Bryant, irresistible hummingbird block paintings by Santa Barbara artist Ginny Speirs, vases thrown by Venice Beach potter, Luna Garcia, and hand-hewn leather handbags by David Galan and Vicky Kallens – to name but a few. One can even find soaps, hand-made in Santa Barbara by Tracy Wells. Hummingbird also features clothing, shoes and accessories from coveted lines, including Johnny Was, Biya, Blue Pacific, Hammit, 49 Square Miles, Hobo and Olukai. Those wanting to indulge the senses can peruse luxurious candles and perfumes from Antica Farmacista, Lollia and Voluspa.

Hummingbird boasts such a wide variety of little treasures; something to suit not only everyone’s taste, but pocket book as well.  With a broad price range; darling ten dollar earrings to fine jewels with sparkling little diamonds, you won’t leave empty handed!
